"George Crawford's Attic" wins 2009 EVVY Award!!

Marcus Bebb-Jones arrested in England

I wrote about the mysterious 1997 disappearance of Sabrina Bebb-Jones in my book, "George Crawford's Attic" and now we have an exciting update! Perhaps the time has come for Sabrina's mystery to finally be solved!

GLENWOOD SPRINGS — A Colorado prosecutor has agreed not to seek the death penalty against a British poker champion accused of killing his wife and dumping her body after a trip to Dinosaur National Monument. Marcus Bebb-Jones is in custody in his native England and is fighting extradition to stand trial in Colorado for the murder of Sabrina Bebb-Jones. The wife was last seen in 1997; a Garfield County rancher found her skull in 2004.

District Attorney Martin Beeson has agreed not to seek the death penalty. England bans the death penalty, and by treaty with the United States, it won’t extradite a suspect here unless the death penalty is taken off the table.

Bebb-Jones and his wife were living in Grand Junction, both co-owners of Hotel Melrose on Colorado Avenue, at the time of her disappearance.

Exciting News for Debbie!

The first play reading of "The Apron String Murder" at KAFM's Radio Room.

The playwright, Joseph Wilcox, did an excellent job of choosing its actors, and his play captured the essence, style, and humor of the characters of my mystorical, "Stained Glass Rose". The audience laughed, got teary-eyed, and loved the players. For me, it was AMAZING to see my characters come alive on stage, and even though it was simply a reading, not a staged play, the scripts they held were long forgotten as the story engaged the audience. Afterward, there was a discussion with the audience, with plenty of compliments and suggestions.  Our hopes are to find some grants to put this into a full production in 2010. There are pictures to see at my "Events" link on the left. Thanks for everyone's support!
