"Grand Junction's Criminal History"

At the Mesa County Public Library's Main branch at 5th and Grand Ave.

1pm

Stories include:

~ the only Mesa County lawman to be murdered in the line of duty, 

~the beloved sheriff, Charles Lumley, who was often thanked by the criminals he captured for his good care of them, 

~some humorous stories on Prohibition in Grand Junction, 

~and some of the city's murders, including the story of Patti Haywood's unsolved 1964 murder and how a group of Grand Junction High School alumni got together to try and solve the cold case.

BOOKS WILL BE SOLD AT THE PRESENTATION
