Jeanette and friends
This picture was taken on the Grand Mesa near Grand Junction, Colorado, July 4, 1937, just weeks before her strangulation. Jeanette (left) sits with two of her friends. Notice the dark shadow across Jeanette’s neck. A portent of things to come?
